What We Build
Our Services
Screen Enclosures
Designed and engineered to withstand the harshest storms. Open View enclosures span up to 60’ without a middle post, with reinforced aluminum beams and 10-year warrantied polyester screen.
A screen enclosure is only as good as the storm it hasn’t failed in yet. We’ve been building ours the same careful way since 1984 — welded internal beam inserts, engineered wind ratings, no shortcuts — because we’re the ones you’ll call if it doesn’t hold. That’s not a sales pitch. It’s just what four decades of accountability in this market looks like.
Lanai & Deck Extensions
Redo an existing deck or extend your patio with concrete, pavers, or travertine — matched to what’s already there so you gain space without a full rebuild.
A good extension should look like it was always part of the house. We take the time to match existing pavers, concrete, or travertine by eye and by material — the kind of patience that’s easy to skip and obvious when someone does. We’d rather it take a little longer and look right for years.
Picture Windows & Refurbishment
Bring an existing enclosure back to life with a picture window, fresh paint, full re-screen, new hardware, and a gutter seal and refresh.
We’ll tell you honestly if your enclosure doesn’t need to be replaced — because often it doesn’t. A picture window, fresh paint, new hardware, and a full re-screen can bring an aging structure back to life at a fraction of the cost of starting over. We’d rather earn your trust with the right answer than a bigger invoice.
Re-Screens
Torn or rotting screen? We replace it with new polyester screen that lasts, starting as low as $2 per square foot.
Torn screen isn’t just an eyesore — it lets in the very things it’s supposed to keep out. We re-screen with 10-year warrantied polyester, done right the first time, starting at $2 per square foot. It’s a small job we still treat like it matters, because to you it does.
Impact Windows & Doors
Storm-resistant impact windows and doors from name brands like PGT, installed in as little as 4–5 weeks so you’re ready before the storm comes.
Most people don’t think about impact glass until a storm is already named — and by then, it’s too late to get in line. We install PGT-grade impact windows and doors in as little as 4–5 weeks because we plan ahead year-round, not just in June. Protecting your home shouldn’t be a race against the forecast.

Since 1984
It’s a Family Affair
Founded by Robert Palmer in 1984, Robert Palmer Contracting began with one simple goal: build high-quality screen enclosures that stand the test of time. More than four decades later, that commitment hasn’t changed.

Robert Palmer has spent over four decades perfecting a single craft: building aluminum enclosures that hold up when it matters most. He started in 1984, at a time when a screen enclosure was just a screen enclosure — and he’s spent every year since asking how to make it stronger, tighter, and built to actually survive a Southwest Florida hurricane season. He still walks jobsites today. Not because he has to, but because after 42 years, he still isn’t satisfied with "good enough." That’s the standard this company was built on, and it’s the standard he still holds every crew to.

Chris Palmer grew up on jobsites, not behind a desk. Long before he ran operations, he was learning the trade the way his father taught it — hands-on, beam by beam, screen by screen. He’s made it his mission to understand every part of the business, from the engineering behind a beam to the way a crew talks to a homeowner. What he carries forward isn’t just a family name — it’s the same standard of quality Robert built the company on, applied to every single project that comes through the door today.

Quinton Willis joined the family business in 2004, during Hurricane Charley — not exactly a gentle introduction to the trade. Twenty-two years later, he’s seen firsthand what holds up in a storm and what doesn’t, and that experience shows in every enclosure his crews build. Today Quinton leads field operations and is present on every single install, making sure the work matches the standard the Palmer name has stood for since 1984.
“When you call Robert Palmer Contracting, you’re not just hiring a contractor — you’re working directly with the family that built the company.”

Common Questions
Screen Enclosures & Impact Windows, Answered
How much does a screen enclosure cost in Southwest Florida?
Cost depends on size, roof style, and screen grade, but re-screening starts as low as $2 per square foot. We provide a free, no-obligation estimate for new screen enclosures, pool cages, and lanai extensions.
Are your screen enclosures hurricane-rated?
Yes. Every enclosure uses reinforced aluminum beams with welded internal inserts, engineered to exceed Southwest Florida wind-load codes — our enclosures have withstood storms including Ian and Charley.
Do I need to replace my whole enclosure, or can it be refurbished?
Often refurbishment is enough. A picture window, fresh paint, new hardware, and a full re-screen can restore an aging enclosure at a fraction of the cost of a full rebuild.
How long does it take to install impact windows and doors?
We install PGT-grade impact windows and doors in as little as 4–5 weeks, so you’re protected before storm season rather than waiting once a hurricane is named.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve the entire greater Southwest Florida area, including Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties — Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Marco Island, Punta Gorda, and Lehigh Acres.
